How it Works
If you're admitted to the hospital for a covered accident or sickness under MetLife Hospital Indemnity, you'll receive a cash benefit paid directly to you. Depending on the plan you choose, you'll receive a lump-sum payment for your hospital admission, additional benefits if you're admitted to the ICU, and a daily benefit for each day you're hospitalized (up to the plan limits). You can use the money however you need, whether it's paying deductibles and co-pays, covering transportation or childcare, or keeping up with everyday expenses like rent, groceries, or utilities while you recover.
